We are delighted to share that our beloved little Harapi is doing wonderfully at our BORA rescue and rehabilitation centre in East Kalimantan.
Cheeky Harapi hanging upside down at Baby Jungle School
At his last weigh-in, Harapi tipped the scales at 5.5 kg, having gained 0.25 kg in just one month! This might be thanks to the guava trees outside the veterinary clinic, which are full of fruit—and Harapi loves nothing more than climbing up and feasting on those juicy guavas!
Harapi continues to be inseparable from his best friend, Arto. Together, they encourage each other to explore more and take on new challenges. They both adore attending Baby Jungle School—but their absolute favourite activity? Play-wrestling with each other! Watch these two little adventurers in action as they navigate the early stages of their rehabilitation journey.
Harapi also loves the enrichment activities his caregivers provide, including feeder balls, banana-smeared leaves, and hanging baskets with hidden treats like sunflower seeds. Here’s a delightful video of Harapi having fun in a hanging basket, searching for his treats.
Since Harapi is still so young, he takes multiple naps throughout the day and continues to receive milk bottles to ensure he’s getting all the nutrition he needs. In exciting news, our Baby House is almost complete! Once it’s ready, Harapi and his friends will have elevated nesting pods to sleep in overnight and for their naps. The Baby House will also feature an indoor play area, perfect for when heavy rain makes Jungle School impossible. And of course, Harapi still receives plenty of love and cuddles from his babysitters, just like he would from his mum in the wild, giving him the comfort and support he needs.
It’s heartwarming to see Harapi growing in confidence and thriving, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you so much for helping him on his journey to freedom. Your support truly makes a difference!
